Easy Ways To Translate The Frequent Word In The Quran The most frequently repeated word in the Qur'an, مِن se, is repeated 3,226 times.
learning tajweed

This is about 4% of the Quran.

Technically, once you know what "of" means, you will have 4% of the Quran covered and 96% left. Very well?
alquranworld

Wrong.
HOLY QURAN

The logic above would prefer to work for the second word with the highest frequency, اللَّهُ, repeated 2699 times (about 3.5%).
ISLAM

Why? Because it has ONE meaning, which is Allah (as a proper name), or God (if you take it as a common name).

In any case, it only has ONE meaning.

So you somehow covered 3.5% of the Quran by knowing the meaning of اللَّهُ, that is, from the point of view of meaning.

But knowing the meanings of مِنْ and اللَّهُ as "from" and "Allah" cover 7.5% of the Quran respectively? Nothing.

Why? Because the meaning of مِنْ is somewhat fluid even though it has a frequent meaning of "of".

Well, maybe you can reach 3% to 4% of the meanings of مِن dec if you take off with just that meaning.

But even that 1% is too much.
Especially when the word is repeated more than 3000 times.
So what is this fluency? This is the point:
مِنْ is a preposition. And the meaning of an Arabic preposition depends on the word it is attached to. That's how smooth it is.
To make it easier to understand, imagine the word "in" in the following sentences.
I live in Singapore.
I'm in love.
Now let's translate it into Malay. If you don't know Malay, now you can learn.
Saya tinggal from Singapura.
Saya sedang bercinta.
Did you notice that the first "in" has been translated as "of" while the second is untranslated? Why? Because the meaning of "in" (a preposition) is not static since it depends on its context in a sentence.
Below are three examples of مِنْ in 3 different sentences with 3 different translations.
Notice the frequency word in bold and the linking words in italics.
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا مِنْ رِزْقِ اللَّهِ
Eat and drink from the providence of Allah [2:60]
مَا مِن شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِ
[there is no] intercessor (untranslated) except after his permission. ... [10: 3]
هَلْ مِنْ خالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ
There is a creator who is not God ... [35: 3]
If you noticed, only the first مِنْ can be perfectly translated as da, due to the linking verb (s). As in, eat from.
But in the second example, using from would be awkward. Since the connecting word here is مَا, which means not, مِنْ becomes a filler preposition which is therefore not translated.
In the third example, since مِنْ is preceded by an interrogative word هَلْ which means is it?, It takes the meaning from there. Translating it as from would be out of place.

That day we will ask in hell: "Are you full?" - and he will answer: "Is it ______ more?" [50:30]
(b) مَّا مِن دَابَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا

"... and makes it rain ______ in the sky." [2:22]
The above is just a glimpse of what's included in Sixty to Fifty, a 60-day email program to conquer 50% of the Quran. It starts from the first day of Shaaban until the last day of Ramadan. 1 word a day, for 60 days.
